How You Can Help

 

There are many different ways that you can help support the goals of this project.  Listed below are just a few – if you have any other ideas, please let us know.  If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact Meryl Kelly, - merylashlynkelly@gmail.com

 

Garden/Greenhouse Volunteers - We need volunteers to help us learn about the best ways to make our greenhouse and garden successful.  You can volunteer once, or on an ongoing basis.  We can use volunteers during regular school year, but we will need volunteers especially during the summer months, when the garden will need the most attention.

 

Monetary Donations – If you are able to help with our project with financial resources, we will be able to purchase more tools and supplies and bring more experts into our school to help facilitate this project.  Checks can be made payable to “SAD #44 – GOT Farms Account” and can be mailed to Telstar Middle School – 284 Walkers Mills Rd.  Bethel, ME  04217 – ATTN: GOT Farms

 

Professional Consultation - If you are knowledgeable about greenhouses, gardens, composting, renewable energy, local food promotion, etc., we would love to consult with you to get your professional advice.

 

Cooking Help - We frequently offer cooking workshops and events for students and community members.  If you are willing to share your time and expertise in the kitchen,  it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Event/Fundraiser Planning - We really enjoy planning events and fundraisers throughout the year to support this project.  We can always use help with the planning and production of these events.
